Last month a friend asked me to sharpen a couple razors…
that led to me sharpening the ones I had…
that led to starting to shave with them again…
that led to making a few razors.
Here is the 2nd prototype. It is 01/L6 damascus, martempered & frozen in nitrogen.
The 5/8 blade was deep hollow ground to a 0.004” edge thickness.
It has a rosewood burl handle.
It's kind of fun to have a Damascus knife that I will use every day.
I am in the process of working out an agreement with http://www.classicshaving.com for retailing these razors.
I will be putting up a page on the razors, including links to the retail pages, within the next few weeks.

A customer asked me to reproduce the design I did for Spyderco.
These have African Blackwood handles and integral bolsters.
They are also lockbacks instead of liner locks.
