Here are some of the things others are
saying about Tim Zowada's Razors:
Well you were certainly right about the pleasant surprise from the
new razor! I have over 200 straight razors (silly me! How did that
happen?) and have honed and shaved with nearly all of them, but I have
never shaved with a razor as sharp as the ebony-scaled beauty that
arrived today. I can see that the steel is different to that in my
first razor from you, and I appreciate the stiffer half-hollow grind.
Some years ago on the old Yahoo SRP, the late JudgeCarl described a
razor as shaving like a knife through butter, but I put it down to
hyperbole. Now I have had the experience and I want more! Is this all
to be put down to different steel/tempering, or is it your new honing
technique? Can you tell me how this razor was honed, or is it going to
stay a trade secret? Please tell!
I did look at classicshaving to see if they are selling your new
paste, but couldn't find it. I also confess to looking to see if they
had any more of your razors in stock but no dice. You'll have to get
your chest better and get back to work to make a twin brother to my new
razor. If you think it carries any weight, feel free to quote me on the
shaving experience I have just enjoyed. Thank you very much indeed for
creating this beautiful razor, not only gorgeous in appearance but
peerless in its shave!

Here is a beautiful
Tim Zowada
Ivory Damascus Razor. I really love the pattern of this piece of
Damascus and the shape of the blade. The handle is gorgeous as well.
WOWZA does this baby shave!! Tim's work is superb and I would highly
recommend his razors. Great work Tim

I have one and really like it. Not only is it a beautiful Damascus
blade, but a great shaver. Tim Zowada has been doing his own Damascus
for over 20 years and is also an exceptional knifemaker.

I don't need to go
too in depth - other than to say, it's the finest razor I have ever
experienced touch my face. Tim is doing something new with the bevel
and making a much finer edge, and bumped up the Rockwell hardness 1
point. That coupled with the 1/4 hollow grind (and maybe the woodgrain
damascus pattern) just makes this thing an amazing, amazing, amazing
shaving razor. There is NO other razor I have owned or used that's as
smooth on the face as this one.

I forgot if I stated it yet or not, but the proto was arguably the
finest shaving razor I have experienced... ever. Really a marvelous
razor. Where as the Le Grelot is buttery smooth, this Zowada is
visceral and takes the scariest edge I have ever experienced. Throw one
of these on a natural japanese stone (40-50K grit) or some chrome oxide
or a Shapton 30K, and you'll have a bigger, longer, heavier arguably
sharper feather razor.
